Groups at the Nunnery

The Nunnery has a number of options for groups looking to stay in Melbourne. We can accommodation of up to 80 people, of all kinds and budgets; sports teams, school groups, hens and bucks’ groups, family reunions, wedding parties etc.

Depending on the size and budget, groups can book rooms in the main building or guesthouse. Please contact the Nuns via phone or email so that we can provide you with tailored information about what best suits your group.

Main building

The main part of the Nunnery consists of two buildings over three floors. It has a range of 3, 4, 6, 8 and 12 bed dorms as well as single, twin and double rooms. All guests are able to enjoy our spacious communal areas, including the lounge, courtyard, kitchen, balconies, and nooks for reading.

All of the bathrooms at the Nunnery are shared, and there are bathrooms on every floor for guests to use. The bathrooms are mostly enclosed rooms rather than cubicles.

Guesthouse

Located next door to our main building is the Guesthouse, a private house that sleeps up to 21 people. The guesthouse has six bedrooms, three spacious bathrooms, a kitchen, lounge room and a tranquil private courtyard.

Of the six bedrooms, there are two double/twin rooms, and four family rooms for 4-6 people. All rooms are fitted with individual air conditioning/heating units as well as television sets.  

The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, cutlery and crockery, so you can cook up a storm. Housekeeping enters the guesthouse daily at 10am to clean the shared facilities and any rooms that need attention.
